About Us

Writer's Ink is a non-profit organization solely run by high school volunteers. Since our early beginnings in 2014, our goal has been to redefine creative writing and English literacy education.

Writing Contests

Writer's Ink runs an annual creative writing contest for students in grades 1-8! Participants have the opportunity to submit an original work to receive feedback, win cool prizes, and garner recognition for their hard work.

Summer Camp

Every summer, Writer's Ink hosts a week-long summer camp at each of our locations. Students will be exposed to the various aspects of a creative narrative under an overarching theme. Material covered during the summer camp is usually more in-depth than during the weekly workshops.

Scholarships

High School students also have an opportunity to enter their work for recognition through our Young Writer's Scholarship! This annual competition runs in the spring, and is open to grades 9-12.

Classification

Writer's Ink is recognized as a class 501(c)(3) nonprofit by the state of California. We are hosted by but not affiliated with public libraries.
